My educational philosophy is to create an inviting environment which fosters learning. I want my students to feel comfortable to explore, ask questions, and participate actively in the classroom. Reflection:I learned a wealth of knowledge concerning technology copyright practices, including what action can be taken because of copyright infringement. This project shows Standard 1 because it covered ethical practices when it comes to copyright. I now know what is right and wrong when using another's work and how to properly give credit to the creator.
This assignment fits Standard 1 because the graphic organizer helped me to condense a chapter worth of information onto one page. I learned how to make this page visually appealing as well as informational. To do this assignment, I had to learn how to fully maximize the tools that Microsoft Word offers. |

ReflectionThis tool supports Standard 3 because individuals and/or groups can work together to problem solve and synthesize knowledge learned from the Subject Sampler. The Sampler is a wonderful interactive technology tool. I learned how to create this tool via the web and link the various sites that I wanted my students exploring. I discovered that guiding students through a Subject Sampler is a productive and fun way for students to stay engaged and safe while using the internet

ReflectionThe Iris Module assignment fits Standard 4 because the module communicated information in various forms and the information presented was on Assistive Technology tools. I learned about the many kinds of tools that can be used to assist students with special needs. I enjoyed how the module built upon each section and used video, sound clips, pictures, and text to present the information.
The Glog was a fun web 2.0 tool! Similar to the graphic organizer, I learned how to highlight important chapter information onto a single page. The Glog offered diversity because it is web based and allows you to add music to your page and/or videos can also be embedded. The Glog fits Standard 4 because it is a tool that presents information in a diverse format. The Glog is visually and auditory stimulating; this makes it helpful to diverse learners. |

ReflectionThe Graphing Lesson Plan meets the Standard 5 by incorporating math objectives and it uses modern technology (smart board) to do so. The lesson plan was carefully planned and organized for maximum effect. I used an authentic assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of the lesson. This lesson plan gave me an opportunity to integrate technology into my classroom.
This was my favorite assignment because I learned how to create an video using iMovie! I accomplished the ins and outs of downloading videos from the web, adding music, text, transitions and much more. This assignment fits Standard 5 because I had to effectively plan, organize and deliver the rainforest information to create the Tease. I can see how students would truly benefit by viewing a Tease video before beginning a particular lesson. The Tease ignites the interest and curiosity about a topic. |
